A way to develop a great physical performance on rugby 7's. The best trainning program to reach a good condition?

You are right to be concerned about getting players especially fit for 7's as the demands are very different from 15 a side rugby. I always impress on players that they need to have good general fitness but also they need to do interval training to build the stamina needed for frequent short bursts of intense activity.

The best way to build fitness for 7's is to play 7's and it may be that you increase the time the players practise for to frequent sessions of 10 mins so when the players play in a competition they have plenty left in the tank!

Dear Simon Jones, Tank's a lot by the answer. I'am a coach of Brazil National team and a i hope increased the level of game by reach, on first, a great physical condition, and then, development a good tecnical and tatical concepts by the players. I think that I need to study a lot, but I love this game and, for me, this job is a dream come true, personal and professional. If you know a book, or articles to indicate, it's will very usefull. Well, sorry about my english, and tank's a lot again.

There are 2 good books by Jim Greenwood that may help you: "Total Rugby" and "Think Rugby."

I do not know if they are in Spanish but you could try to find out?
