- Both players start by laying on their front with a ball inbetween them (place the ball under a shield or bag for a more realistic situation). When the coach shouts go the blue player must spring to feet and target the ball. The red player must try and secure the ball by rucking over it or by clearing the blue player.
Jackel:
-Speed off the ground
-Knees bent and target ball when in the jackel position
Clearing Player:
- Stay on feet
- Low body position into contact area
- Win initial contact
