DESCRIPTION

  • Any call of BLUE is the cue to get our forwards wider off the ruck so running at backs for mismatches
  • This is the setup we will be looking to get into
  • Call is Blue 9 made by No.10. The 9 singnaling that the king gets the ball off the scrumhalf
  • The 1st forward in this case the No.2 takes position in front of 10 and calls King 
  • Two other forward quickly call Jack and Queen.
  • The jack takes position outside the King and the Queen inside

COACHING POINTS

  • Comunication key with early calls
  • KING raises outside arm to show scrumhalf that he is the target of the pass
  • This to be used when you have attacked wide from a set piece
  • Or slower ball giving time to set up
