Rugby Drill Demonstration


Assume the bear crawl position with opposing shoulders against the swissball. players can put their spare hand on the floor for stability if needed but attempt to put all weight through the swiss ball.

Players try to maintain a strong stable position while driving each other back

Coaching points

  • flat back with tight core
  • keep hips level or lower than shoulders
  • use core strength and legs to prevent shoulders dropping and apply pressure through the centre of the swissball
