DESCRIPTION

  • On the whistle, each player retreats to the cones behind them and then progress forward. 1 player has the ball and the other the defender
  • 10 x 10 area to use
  • object is to score a try using step, swerve or any form of evasion

COACHING POINTS

  • ensure each player touches the back line
  • must attack at speed and make quick decisions
  • defenders goal is to reduce the distance and time that the attacker has to make a decision
  • You can also add players and width to the grid 
  • 2 on 1 and 3 on 2 options also work well here
