Your tips and session ideas have really brought some interest back...
Eifion, Rugby Coach

DESCRIPTION

Attacking play to be used close to opponents 22m zone. Object is to force defenders into hard slide defence then have attacking centres cut back against the slide. The #10 has the option to hit either of the centres. The supporting centre can quickly be in position if ball carrier goes into contact or is available for offload.

COACHING POINTS

Pass between #9 and #10 and #10 and centres should be 12-15m.

Centres should align facing across field to draw defenders into slide defence.

#10 must move forward first to draw opposite defender then cut across field towards centres.

Both centres should cut back at the same time to confuse defenders.

#10 and #15 should follow the play for support and off load options.

#10 has option to use centres as decoy runners and use a pull back pass to #11/#15 with #14 in support.
