Rugby Drill Demonstration
• 4 Lines - 4 balls + Cone circuit
• Side step in front of each cone (right, left , right , left)
• Loop around last cone - Come back to starting line and pass the ball to next in-line
EVASIVE RUNNING (General)
• Ball in 2 hands • Side step / swerve - Accelerate
• Move into space past defender
• Run towards nearest defender (cone) • Change direction close to defender
• Use ball to bring defender • Push sideways off right foot to go left.
• Accelerate to take advantage of defender hesitation.
