Rugby Drill Demonstration


  • Player steps through ladder and side steps through cones
  • Player passes from the ground to the to trainer
  • Player runs around trainer and makes tackle with two arms


Coaching points

  • Use arms through the ladder
  • Side-step, not run around the cones
  • Pass backwards to trainer in one movement from the ground
  • Player should turn upper body to pass and not reposition feet
  • Player to run straight at takle bag and contact with shoulder. Keep back straight
