Getting the players to chase down and make the tackle.
1. Set up a 20m x 30m grid with a different coloured cone to mark the middle.
2. Get players paried up with equal ability and hold a ball each faceing each other.
3. When coach shouts colour "blue" The player wearing that colour turns and trys to run out the grid.
4. The other player (yellow) drops the ball they are holding and chases down their partner and makes tackle.
5. Keep going for however long you see fit.
6. Encourage the correct technique. Ask questions when this tackle works and the improtance to always chase down a player.
DEVELOPMENT
- Make grid small so hav to react quicker.
- Change the way the players start, for example; lying on front or back, tower of power etc etc.
