Wes, Rugby Coach

DESCRIPTION

First discuss the options of quick ball out of the tackle. i.e. Pop pass after going to ground, on feet wrap around pass. Also discuss where the support players need to be and that they should be arriving from deep to take the offload at pace.
The progression of this is to make decisions and to lose the pads from the blue players, using the same drill set up. For Example:
- If the blue player is late to the ruck the pop pass is probably on and there is probably a gap between the posts.
- If the tackle is not completed fully, using a leg drive to make space for a support runner.
Indroduce more players to increase difficulty.
Have them attack between the cones of the side the tackle is made.
