Attackers in blue, defenders in red.
The attackers come up in a line and tackle the defender on their outside. The defenders then realign 5m back ready to tackle the next attacker in the line.
The furthermost defender then becomes an attacker and the nearest attacker becomes a defender. This allows the exercise to travel laterally across the pitch and makes sure everyone tackles.
The exercise can the be repeated on the opposite shoulder.
Make sure the players defend in a line.
The nearest defender should command the line, this changes after each tackle.
The defenders should move up and then out to tackle always staying on the inside shoulder
Attackers should not resist the tackle.
