Penny Squibb - Consecutive 1v1 Contest

Great site. An absolute must for coaches who are willing to change...
Ignatius

DESCRIPTION

1. Tell players to get into pairs with one ball and to choose a box.

2. Each pair plays a 1v1 for 3 minutes. Score by carrying over opponents baseline.

3. Pairs self-record number of points.

3. Winners move up one box, loser moves down one box.

4. Play new opponent for another 3 minutes etc.

COACHING POINTS

1. Don't tell them which end is the king of the 1v1 until they have stood in a box because the little rats know what game it is.

2. To work out the number of 1v1 boxes needed, half the number of players in the group.

Coach to join in as a player if odd number in group.
