The drill starts on the red cone. That players passes the ball to the player on the green cone who want to make a deflection pass to the players on the right at the blue cone.
The deflection pass must be in 1 movement and accuracy must be practice.
The players receiving on the blue cones then does an open receive and in 1 motion moves the ball from the left to the right of their body in 1 motion without stopping the ball dead. This player then slaps the ball hard into the D for the player on the orange cone to deflect at goal.
The player on the orange cone must move towards the ball and react depending on the slap. Player must try to get to the ball ahead of the GK.
To keep the GK on her toes so that they dont just step forward and intercept the slap the GK must touch a cone on the ground first with their hand as the slap is made. This will encourage them to be in a low position and hands active to react.
Player ready to make a deflection must be in a low body position and then react accodingly.
