Quick Fire 2 v 1

Excellent, used the drills at our first training session today with...
Shane, Hockey Coach

DESCRIPTION

Starts with a bounce pass into the defender.

Pass can come from any attacker and can be bounced to any attacker.

It is then a 2 V 1. Defender is trying to win the ball outside the D.

Once in the D players are shooting, play the second rebound.

Restart.

COACHING POINTS

Attackers need to decide whether to carry or pass. With more numbers players should not be carrying into 1 v1.

Rebounds and deflections must be anticipated.

Defenders must stay inside the hotline and channel from one side to make a turnover. Triangle defence essential
