- Cone off a triangle as shown in the diagram attached. This will be the edge of the playing area where players should not be entering as we are looking at protecting the middle of the pitch as it is the most dangerous area.
- The group will be spilt into two teams this time. One group will go to work with Emily and the other group will be working with me. After 10 minutes, the teams will switch so the coaches get to see all the players and specialised more on one channel then the other. It is nice then at the end of the session to compare on what we thought of the groups and how individuals did.
- Four defenders can start anywhere they like in the channel. There will be 4 attackers: one attacker will start on the ball; one will start out of the playing area and the other two can position themselves where they like in the channel.
- The balls start at the top of the channel. Make sure we have a big enough pile this week so we can route through quickly- more hockey than ball collecting.
- There will be an extra team on the side. They also start at the ball pile. It is the same rotation as the previous drill of you attack, then defend and then have a rest period.
