Description:
Students will be engaging in a variety of relay races.
Variation 1:
side shuffle facing one direction then side shuffle facing the other direction. (lateral movement)
Variation 2:
10 jumping jacks at yellow cone and 5 burpees at the blue cone.
Variation 3:
Sprint to yellow cone then back pedal around the blue cone. Sprint to the red cone to finish.
Variation 4:
Line Math: Teacher calls out a math question. Players run to the cone answer the question with their fingers facing their teammates. When there teammates acknowledge they have the correct answer the player does that many reps of an activity of their choosing.
Variation 5:
Animal relay: Students go to one or two cones moving like the animal that the teacher has called out. Some ideas are chettah, bunny, sloth, crab. Don't be afraid to throw in your own and ask the students for ideas.
