Split girls into groups of 5 ideally. 4 girls stand around in a square with 1 in the middle. Aim of the game is for the 4 girls on the outside to maintain possession and keep it away from the defender in the middle. To avoid contact we'll make the player in the middle unable to tackle but they can intercept passes. If a pass is intercepted the player in the middle and the player whose pass was intercepted, switch.
Focus points
- minimising the number of touches on the ball
- Head up and using vision to see where the next pass is.
If there is a group of 4, the same game can be played but with 3 on the outside instead. Here, the players on the outside must always be moving so that the player with the ball always has 2 passing options.
