Balls start at the top of the circle (in a box), as we will be using the D area instead of the half pitch. The ball gets played in and then out of the circle by one of the attacking team to another attacker in the circle (bounce pass). Once the ball has been received back the player on the outside then can carry or pass the ball into the circle. The aim is to score for the attacking team! If the attackers score, then one of the players must quickly run to the box claim a new ball and the drill starts over again- if they are sensible they won't wait for the defending team to reset. Additionally, if the ball goes off the back line by the defenders or keeper then the attackers go back to the box and claim a new ball. On the other hand, if the attackers put the ball off the back line, they loose possession and become the defenders- the drill restarts. The defensive team will be looking to stop the attackers scoring- if they win the ball they have to carry hard outside the circle back to the box. Once back in the box they then become the attacking team and the drill restarts.
Only one player can ever be outside the circle!
