DESCRIPTION

  • Attackers and Defenders line up on the 25 in a line.
  • You can change numbers to adjust difficulty.
  • Ball is thrown back near a defender into the 25.
  • Defenders all drop to retain possesion of the ball
  • Attacker press to try and win it back
  • Defenders aim is to take the ball through either goal on the halfway line.
  • Attackers try and win the ball and score.

COACHING POINTS

Defenders

  • Positioning and spacing
  • Ball speed and lateral ball movement
  • Patience, Calmness

Attackers

  • Pressing intensity
  • Pressing in pairs as a team
  • Directness after winning it
