Set up hats approximatley 7 metres from the circles in line with the short corner push out line.
The place 4 hats at areas on both sides of the circle as roughly indicated in diagram.
Then commencing at the red hat run the ball around the hats and pass or shoot to opposite target.
This drill is to be completed twice on each side.
DRILL ONE: Run to the left of each hat and pass or shoot to the right target
DRILL TWO: Run to the right of each hat and pass or shoot to the left target.
Each side you should complete four passes or shots and these should be conducted continuously and running at all times.
Then have 1 minutes break and swap sides.
This drill can also be varied and can be conducted as follows
One set as a push
One set as a hit
One set as a slapshot or slap pass
This drill is about passing and shooting accuracy.
Equally ensuring you get in a body position to accurately pass or shoot is very important.
DEFENDERS: If you are a defender then you should primarily see this as a passing drill and therefore your target is the post and hat outside the goal on each side of the circle as this will increase accuracy.
STRIKERS: You can see this as goalshooting drill that will work on accuracy, body position and balance. You should also incorparate some of the passing drill as outlined for defenders to increase accuracy in your passing also.
VARIATION: If you like you can include a player on each post to work as a striker and enable a deflection drill to be added.
