Parry, U15 boys Hockey Coach

DESCRIPTION

  • Players split evenly into 5 lines behind the cones
  • Balls are passed between cones following the arrows
  • Each player follows their pass and joins the line at the next cone
  • The player on the 5th cone runs foward onto a square pass to score a shot or deflection

COACHING POINTS

  • Prioritise accuracy of traps and passes over speed
  • Shots should be aimed for the corners
  • One-time sweep shot if possible
  • Open recieving on the cones to minimise touches on the ball
  • Final pass across goal should be hard so a deflection is possible
