Defending 1v1 - Keeping everything on your forehand

I love using Sportplan. It's been a great help for co-ordinating hockey...
Laura, Hockey Coach

DESCRIPTION

Here there will be three different 1v1 channels. the red player will pass to the blue player then try their hardest to defend on the forehand the whole time. The blue player will try and drive over the mid line, once they do this the exercise is finished and they will pass to the person waiting in the line on the right side.

If the red player gets the ball they will also pass to the side. Once the ball goes wide they will run along the line with the ball and give a hard ball through the tunnel for a goal with acceleration.

  1. Put early pressure on.
  2. Keep them on your forehand ALWAYS.
  3. if they turn around 2m distance and wait.
  4. Take the ball always with two hands on the stick.
