DESCRIPTION

Session revolving around 1v1 and 2v2 attacking/Defensive principles

COACHING POINTS

1v1 on left and right:

  • Defenders passes to striker then 1v1 begins with attacker attempting to enter circle and score.
  • Defenders staying mobile
  • Defenders channeling to sideline/baseline
  • Defender turn ball over and run over 23 yard line ot encourage counter defence from striker
  • Striker must try eliminate defender using deception/aerial skills/change of pace/direction.
  • Striker must try either get a shot from a decent angle or et a penalty corner.

2v2 in the center:

  • Defenders to channel and force error
  • Defenders to stay mobile and not dive into tackle
  • Non-active defender needs to remain man-to-man to isolate ball carrier.
  • Attacker pass to defender then bounce back out to engage 2v2.
  • Attackers must use deception/aerial skills/change of pace/direction to eliminate defenders.
  • Communication
