This is a 4 v 3 left wing intercept and attack simulation. 3 defenders start on the base line with the ball. 1 defender (FB) will try hit or overhead the ball through the 4 waiting attackers. Alternate sides to practice attackes from all directions.
The attackers have to utilise the overload remaining on their half of the cones.
The defense should try defend the central danger zone.
Defense - one lead defender (Likely LH/RH) should hold off the ball carrier and try block any through balls being played.
Remaining 2 defenders (Likely FB) should look to cover the next two dangerous players. This may involve promoting the wide option for the attackers and covering the inside balls.
Attackers - Use one ball carrier to confront defense. Remaining striers to make leading runs and look to carry ball through the middle by using the extra man and losing defence.
Attackers need to learn that if their first lead is unsuccesful, they need to keep hungry and lead again.
