Using the D area, 4 stances
Balls are hit in from the LHS to the far post where an attacker is running in to deflect into the goal on the open stick.
Balls are hit in from the RHS to the far post again where an attacker is running in to deflect into the goal on the reverse stick.
The hitter is to follow up incase of a rebound off keeper.
Alternate between the two and players to move around each stance.
Balls that are being hit in need to be accurate and with sympathy of pass (correct weight and pace)
Needs to be hit with power and speed
Attacker deflecting on open side needs to adopt a basic grip with the stick horizontal. The ball needs to be played with the shaft of the stick and angled to change the direction of the ball towards the goal.
Attacker deflecting off reverse to have strong left hand at the top of the stick with a slight angle to change its direction towards the goal. Again ball to be played on the shaft of the stick.
Attackers position to be low when recieving the ball.
Angle the face of the stick backwards to lift the ball.
