DESCRIPTION

Players per group: 7-9

Procedure:

  • 2 partners (of similar ability) back-to-back in middle, each with a ball
  • Outside players form a circle around them
  • Starting with the player opposite them, the middle players play a wall-pass to each outside player, working in a clockwise direction

Reset with different middle players whenever:

  • one middle player wins by catching up with the other (i.e. both of their passes are to the same outside player)
  • one middle player loses their ball
  • after [1] minute

Reset by:

  • switching out the losing partner
  • switching out both partners

 

 

COACHING POINTS

  • Practises short passing accuracy and speed
  • Good pre-match warmup
  • Focus on footwork, pre-scanning and shaping body ready for next pass
