Formation 1
4-4-2
This formation features two central midfielders in the double pivot roles, with two outside midfielders providing width and support for the forwards.
4 Defenders: Giving width when attacking, and a string defensive structure.
2 Fetchers/ Blockers: Pivot off one another to receive the ball from defenders (Sea-saw). Allowing for a stronger midfield when defending.
2 Outside Links: Providing width for outlet from outside defenders or from fetchers.
2 Strikers: Creating height upfront when attacking, as well as creating space in pockets for links to throw the ball.
