Zones overload

DESCRIPTION

Teams of 4v4

  • one player from each team must be in a zone at any point
  • players may switch with each other - create space or by dribbling into another zone
  • goals both end, keep track of points scored
  • can be 6v6 - bigger pitch needed

COACHING POINTS

  • encourage passing the ball and overlapping
  • fluid movement
  • defensive - line to players, communication and doubling players on the ball, 2 roles line to player and pressure to ball
  • attackers - defense blind spots, timing of leads, communication, overlapping & decision making,
