My team is missing eagerness to fight for the ball or pick it up. What trainingsessions could help? They keep watching how someone else picks up the ball.
Hi Niels,
Eagerness comes with the confidence and technical and tactical awareness of how to win the ball and why it will benefit the team.
Develop their technique when jackaling for the ball with this contact skills session. It progresses from unopposed work to opposed and will give them a strong understanding of how to win the ball back.
Add the rest of the phase to some of the drills to let them recognise how their eagerness to win the ball back can help create numerous attacking options for the team.
I hope this helps!
