Can a tackling player leave his feet? If the tackler is in good position and and there is nothing else wrong with the tackle ( below the shoulders, arms wrapping) can he explode in to the ball carrier and subsequently be airborne? What are the laws surrounding this type of action?

There is no law against the tackler taking off but if he does so all the advantage goes to the ball carrier as the tackler will have no leg drive or power.
