Hi all
Could someone help me with a clear definition of what "pointing at pressure" is?
Thanks,
Gary
Hi Gary,
This refers to the ball carrier dribbling with the ball towards the space around the defender - the aim is for the dribbling player to eliminate their man with a pass or dribble (being positive on the ball and opening your body towards the space rather than protecting the ball with your shoulder).
A good practice to work on this skill with your team would be a slalom dribble to encourage good ball carrying position - for example this practice.
Hope this helps,
Alex
Hi Alex,
Thank you very much for your reply. I had a fair idea because a friend had told me but I wanted to double-check + have something clear and in writing.Very much appreciate the help.
Best regards,
Gary
