can anyone give me some field hockey scenarios that i could use for a lesson i will be teaching the pupils in which they will learn through the game and will be stopped and told a scenario and will need to try to work out with their team what they think they should do?
Alternatively, you can play attack vs defence into one of the main Ds, and stop the game when either side (attack or defence) does something well, or badly... This will give people the chance to play, and give them game-related advice... As the coach, I often walk around the practice, and talk to individuals about where they should stand / what they should communicate / etc. So the game isn't stopped, but individual players still pick up pointers...
Yah I admit with burton ,Make a Task 1st Play a half team game Defense Vs Attack on a high Intensity durining the game if you found something wrong or any technical thing or any confusion then stop the game and start asking questions let them think 1st and then correct them Communication will be Key.
