I was wondering if anybody has any good drills to get my players to use triangles while moving down the field--thanks!
Hi Carla,
The drill I have attached, although quite simple, really helps the players work in a triangle over a large area of the pitch. Once your players have run through this a few times, I would add in two defenders. This makes the drill more game realistic and adds extra pressure to those receiving the balll whilst forcing them to remain in a triangle formation
Hi,
I had a similar problem particularly on the left wing; I used this drill to try and encourage the use of `triangles`. It has emphasis on playing down the wings and then driving the ball in along the base lane, so may not be the most relevant if you wish to use triangles in the centre of the pitch or cutting in but it can be easily adapted.
PS. I hope you can understand the diagram, if not please contact me and I`ll try and explain :)
