Hi, I am planning a session focussing on body position receiving the ball with feet forward going towards goal.I have some initial drills and gameplay ideas organised. Does anyone have any ideas for further gameplay focussing on this idea that has 6-10 players involved ( or a larger squad) and more initial technique drillsThanks
Hi Miles,
Being able to receive the ball on the turn to be able to go forwards in a grat skill to have and certainly one to encourage. However, sometimes if the pass is not quite right or the defenders have shut down the opportunity to turn, it may not always be an option.
Building this patience and recognition of when to be able to receive facing forwards and when to keep they back to goal and secure the ball is paramount. This is my favourite drill for developing the players understanding of the situation and when to turn to play forwards.
Hope this helps!
