The Dropshot: Use disguise to keep the element of surprise

To give your players the deft dropshot touch this Sportplan session works on soft hands, putting spin on the shot and knowing when to (and when not to) use this high risk shot - adding variety to their repertoire!

Playing the shot itself is only half the battle though - if your players truly want to break their opponent's rhythm and bring them in to the net they will need to learn how to disguise their shot in order to truly have the element of surprise on their side.

Just like with the Spanish inquisition, nobody expects the dropshot!

However, as players progress through the exercises in this dropshot development session it's key that your players understand that this is a high risk shot with a low percentage - and as such should be used sparingly. Use it at the right moment in their next game though and it can be a real point winner!
