In this exercise the player works on a few factors. Speed and reaction are the primary physical skills this drill develops while control and placement are possible tactical skills to work on. Players have to learn how to sprint and decelerate to get themselves in the correct position to still control the shot with a well-placed drop shot. For less advanced players, the coach feed the p[layer higher and slower balls to let them have a higher success rate to build skill and confidence.
