DESCRIPTION

ARM SWING (5min #1-2, 5min #3)

  1. Review Swing Phase Basics with players:
    • Sight - 90 (Bow & Arrow, Head/Eyes Up at Target);
    • Elbow Lead (Op. Arm starts down to chest);
    • Lift & Whip (Finish w Snap of Wrist)
  2. Players to Repeat and simulate actions, as Coach's performs swing phases noted in '1', while standing in place, increasing in tempo. (10 reps)
  3. Smack DOWN - (See Diagram)
    • Standing at net, use procedure above to smash Coach's tossed ball under net; aim at centerline, focus on max power & top of ball (3 hits each x 3 reps each) OR
    • Standing on Tables, but Smash down over net. (3 hits each x 3 reps each)
