Contact Guard and Position Change

I love using Sportplan. It's been a great help for co-ordinating hockey...
Laura, Hockey Coach

DESCRIPTION

Here the girls will do a position change (Spits&Pivot in the diagram), important that the players keep the ball under control and if it goes wrong get it under control FIRST before passing.

1: Ball to pivot then back.

2: Transfer the ball to the other side then play into the forward.

3: Make a faint by the goal and play the contact position, ball under control then played to the wide back.

4: The wide back will get the ball and as soon as they get it cut into the middle as quickly as possible and play a 2vKeeper, with the pivot who did a position change with the spits (3).

We do the exercise for 10 minutes one side then change sides.
