Players rally co-operatively down the middle of the court, standing between the service and baselines.However, they both must feed a ball in at the same time, so effectively there are 2 balls in play at once.Players try to get the longest rally they can within a certain set time period.</div>

<BR>-Two or more players on each side of the net at the service line with one racket per team.<BR>-The first player hits one shot and passes the racket to the next team player.<BR>-This can be performed in one of the service boxes at first.

Separate the whole group into teams of around 5-6. Each team nominates a player to feed first. When ready the feeder throws the ball to each player consecutively until the team has caught 5 balls. The team getting to 5 first shouts Five Alive and win the first point. A new feeder is selected by each team, and the next round begins.

Each player has 2 racquets and the players rally together. Each player has to catch the ball between the racquets before the ball is hit back.

Players work together in pairs, each pair using the double service box as their area and with rackets not needed.Pairs start by standing facing each other and holding hands with their left hand as if shaking hands.With one ball between 2 players, players 'rally' by patting the ball to each other using their linked arms as the net.Pairs are working co-operatively to see who can get the longest rally.Players must keep their feet moving to get in the right position for each 'shot', dancing around the ball with adjustment steps whilst still staying linked to their partner.The pair with the longest rally after 5 minutes wins. After this pairs swap hands to attempt this with their non playing hand.</div>

Targets are set to give a visual feedback to players. Players rally with each other, with both having to throw the ball below the upper bar.Sending and receiving are basic skills that all tennis players should be able to execute properly. Ability to catch the ball and throw it with a controlled motion helps players to learn tennis strokes in a quicker way. Coach should vary the targets of throwing according to the level of the kids.

This is a speed development drill for tennis. Players line up along the outer tram line to start the race. Players run to the inner tram line and return back to the outer line, without stopping they run to the centre service line and return again, and then continue also run to both tram lines at the far end. The players will touch each line with their hand before moving to the next line.

<BR>-Pick two teams, one team are the hitters, the other the runners.<BR>-The hitters take it in turns to hit the ball over the net, back to the feeder or to a designated area.The coach has to choose the target according to players level of ability. <BR>-The team scores a point each time a shot is hit to the agreed target.<BR>-The runners take it in turn to run around the outside of the court, back to the team like relay race.<BR>-Once all of the running team have done a round they shout stop, and the points of the hitting team freeze.<BR>-The teams then swap sides and the new hitting team has to beat their score.

<div class=&quot;practiceText&quot;>The ball is fed in by the coach, or a waiting player, and players 1 and 2 rally the ball, moving each other around the full court in a co-operative manner.Players are constructing points but at a slightly lessened tempo and with greater control. Players work like this for 2 minutes, before one player is replaced by player 3, for the next 2 minutes.The idea is that players are working in this manner for 4 minutes at a time and resting then for 2 minutes until the 24 minutes are completed.</div>

Each player has own area with cones placed all around, and players start bouncing the ball up and they try to hit own cone. If the cone is hit, the player takes the cone and puts on the other player's area. The goal is to move as many cones to the other player as possible.

The coach feeds the ball to the player, and the player hits a backhand stroke. If the ball is hit inside the court player runs, puts the hurdle and runs over it. The player's goal is to put all the hurdles.

<BR>-Players rally on a full court.<BR>-There can be two or more players on each side of the net starting from the baseline.<BR>-Using one racket per team the first player hits one shot and passes the racket to the next team player.<BR>-Points are won if the opposing side hits the ball outside of singles court or into the net.

<BR>Start with one marker on the floor. The player must hit the ball upwards and get the ball to land on the marker, (5 points for each success.)<BR>- Now get the players into pairs, taking it in turns to hit the same cone (still 5 points each time.)<BR>-Now give them two cones, placed about 1-2 metres apart and get them to aim for each others markers (10 points)They must let the ball bounce before the hit it.<BR>-This is now a basic rally.

This is a simple relay race through the cones with some fun variations for your players: First person in each team balances the ball on their strings moving around the cones to the net and back (like an egg and spoon race)<br /><br /> The ball is then passed to the strings of the person next in line, who repeat the run<br /><br /> The first team to finish wins the race

Players stand opposite one another in the service boxes and play the point out. However, this time, the ball must be hit down into the court so that it bounces on the player's own side before it goes over the net (like in table tennis). The ball cannot therefore bounce before the opposing player makes contact with it themselves. Points can be played up to 21 in this way.

The coach feeds two balls to a player all on one side of the court. In response, the player hits one cross court shot, and then a shot down the line.After two shots, the player rotates and does the same from the opposite side (i.e. if forehand for first two shots, next two will be backhand).

Split the group into three teams. One team starts in the middle of the grid along the line. The idea of the game is to kick the ball over the middle team and try to land the ball in the oppositions area. If the ball is caught then no points are scored, if the ball bounces in the oppositions area then 1 point is scored. If one of the players in the middle catches the ball (they gain 1 point) then they swap positions with the team that kicked the ball.

Rally with the coach in a round robin system. Players hit one shot and then run to the back of the queue. For variation use one racquet. After each shot players must pass the racquet on to the next player.

Tennis: 2 lines - Forehand and...

Players start in two lines, one behind the deuce service box and the other behind the advantage box. Coach feeds balls alternately to players on their left and right. Players on the coach's left hit forehands and those on coach's right hit backhands. Players are aiming to put the ball away, as close to the baseline as possible.
