Would like to know different drills that teams use for their warmup drills for 6 min. Also what players do to get loose before starting warm ups. Beside beating volleyball in the floor.
Hi Michael,
There are some great warm-up drills in the 'Warm Up' section of Drills on Sportplan. Make sure you focus on a physical warm-up initially before hitting the balls; do this with some dynamic stretches and leg and arm swings. There are some great ways to get physically ready with fast footwork drills, power development drills and balance drills.
Then, once the team is prepared physically, use this drill to get them ready and comfortable with playing the ball. Throwing the ball into the net to then dig will sharpen their reactions, ready when the first ball comes over the net for the initial dig.
