I am not saying that your team hits the ball, I would not know from your question but
One simple solution maybe to stop your team hitting the ball any where on the pitch (including both circles)
This means that the players have to look for shorter passes (VISION) and solutions instead of possibly opting for the long pass and giving the ball to the opposition ( most hit passes will result in the opposition getting possession, have a look during your next game).
a simple game to play in training would be 6 aside 3 seconds hockey ( every player has to pass the ball within the 3 seconds)
