Correct grip is a key to this movement. The left hand 'V' must be rotated 90 degrees from the standard grip position (pointing down the front edge of the stick as for hitting the ball) to the back of the stick so that the reverse stick drag can be done efficiently. If the hand is not moved the stick cannot be rotated far enough to pull the ball back to the strong side under control. Practice doing it slowly until the ball can be moved easily from side to side, then on the run.
