training action plan for a hockey player who needs to improve tackling
To my eye, players who have had siblings involved in the sport, seem to ahve a better ball sense than players who are the only player in the family. I guess it comes from mucking around at home etc. So how to help, it comes down to practice and more practice. It doesn't need to be against a hockey player per se. Tackling cleanly and moving off with the ball, from anyone holding the stick to a seasoned A grader wil help you. Practice, however here are some tips from David Bell a great Ozzie hockey player, a must watch for tackling skills to learn http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQYl2mkobR4 or youtube/google" David Bell tackling" if link dosen't work
Cheers and good luck
