Fellow Coaches. In you opinion, why do you think the England Ladies have been knocked out of the World Cup?My own view is that many of the players look mentally tired...What do you think?
Yes and also in my opinion the team and the fans raise the expectations after the 2012 Olympics! However a few key players were posted such as Cullen and Thomas and many young players were and are coming through! Also Helen Richardson Walsh was a big blow as a older figure in the team!

Last weekend, the England ladies performance vs. Australia in the Commonwealth Games final was unrecognisable compared to the GB World Cup performances.
There was a period of play in the 2nd half that was outstanding, i.e. dominated the game and frustrated the higher ranked Aussies (who equalised with 11 secs left and then won on PSO`s - well done to them).
I must admit, I didn`t compare the Enlgand team sheet to GB`s in the World Cup, but within a few weeks this change is transformational (and must be psychological).
I wonder if this is down to the coach and/or the players finding their hunger again?
Yes and also I feel The team was playing for Kate and that they desperately wanted to prove the fans and themselves after the disappointing World Cup campaign! The coach factor is also helpful but they improve massively in the final due to there desire, commitment and they in my opinion were less scared of the Australians after playing them in the group stages!
They also have some excellent new players too like Zoe Shipperley that brought fresh energy to the team.
Yes I agree they have added power and legs to the squad!
