If you are one of the players not involved in the penalty corner routine, as a left back you ill probably be marking one of the opposition players that are left up field waiting for the break if their team get the ball. If the break does occur it is important that you keep tightly marking the attacking player and not leave your player to go and close down the ball. The likely hood is that the ball carrier will be looking to pass the ball to the higher players and if you are not marking them they will get the ball and create a scoring opportunity. If you stay close to the attacker the player with the ball will probably still try to pass the ball and you will be able to intercept and stop the break. I hope this helps Bram
