What is a short corner?

Hi, I'm actually a kid doing BTEC sport in Year 10, and I'm doing my coursework on Hockey. Unfortunatly I have no idea what a short corner is, other than it's suppose to commence play again. If anyone could help me with this, it would be much appreciated %3A)

for starters a it's called a penalty corner. a penalty corner is given when there is an infringement from the defensive player stopping the attacker from playing the ball with a deliberate foul from inside the 25 yard line, or otherwise called breakdown off play. the other reason is an accidental foul inside the "D" like the ball hitting a foot or a clumsy stick tackle knocking the attackers stick. thats a basic description of a Penalty Corner. i hope this helps out.
