What are the best practices in training players (female) to move as a team on the pitch, and to create overload for example, without weakening defence, especially on the axle of the field?

Play follow my leader! the players' who do not have the ball run the same as the player with the ball i.e the player with the ball runs right four steps, then so does the rest of the team.
