What happens when a defender breaks on a short corner?
the shorty is stopped, player get sent to the half-line and waits with the others. then the shorty is played over
HI , thats correct but it might depend on your local associaiton. My local competion (Senior and junior) have not enforced this rule as yet, maybe next year.
We also play in a u18 competition at our state captial (1.5 hours away), the u18 comp and juniors dont use the rule, but the senior woemn and men do.
The worst case is eventually you can be left with just the goally if the continually break each time. The other options is for umpire to call a penalty stroke after the third break- that was how it used to be umpired before the players removal from the defending five.
