My child is learning to play hockey. What are the field posotions and thier roles.
There are so many - Wouldn't know where to start and all depending on what formation is played. The old formation 4-4-2 would consist of a goalie, 2 centre backs (or 1 + sweeper), left and right back. Two centre halves (Or top and bottom of diamond) and left and right half. Plus two roaming forwards. Sometimes 3 up front which gives you traditional left and right wings plus centre forward. Sometimes 5 in midfield. Really the list is endless.
