The girls don't always listen to our coach and they talk over her when she is explaining drills. I am getting really fed up with it. Is it a good thing to start giving out punishments like laps or star jumps or corners to encourage them to listen and do the skills at match pace?

I think if you introduce punishments in a fun way then yes they can work, I`ve used a variety depending on the group, different runs and exercises, Eeyores where they take up a press up position and kick both legs out behind whilst shouting Eeyore can work, depending on the group. It`s also a way of putting players under some pressure.
